Terra Temple is the main reporter for the Metropolis Planet, as well as a multiplatform journalist for The Southern Illinoisan, The Paducah Sun and WPSD Local 6. Terra just hit a milestone in journalism this year, marking her 30th year as a reporter. Her passion for journalism, however, goes even further back.

Terra was born in Connecticut, but moved to Metropolis when she was 3 1/2 years old with her family when her father retired from the U.S. Navy. Her mother was originally from Johnson County, and her family moved to Massac, so Metropolis became their home.
