CLEVELAND, Ohio — The Cleveland Anglers organization has been created by an area group of avid fishermen.

“Our focus is on angler education and supporting fisheries conservation, in Northeast Ohio,” said Jerry Darkes of Strongsville. “With the long-time Cleveland Museum of Natural History Trout Club shutting down, many men and women around the area wanted to bring a wide range of anglers together to help others learn new or different fishing techniques, as well as to support much-needed fisheries conservation initiatives.”

A well-known fly fishing and fly tying author and guide, Darkes emphasized that all types of fishermen are being welcomed into the fold.
