Karkala, Oct 11: Police investigation is underway in connection with the suicide of a 23-year-old youth from Nitte, who reportedly left a death note alleging blackmail by his friends. As part of the probe, police have seized the mobile phones of four friends and are examining them from various technical angles.

The deceased, Abhishek Acharya (23), a resident of Parappady in Nitte village, had died by suicide on Thursday at a private lodge in Belman. A case in this regard has been registered at the Karkala Rural police station.
