An IndiGo flight from Madurai to Chennai experienced a windshield crack shortly before landing on Saturday. The pilot detected the damage and immediately informed the Air Traffic Controller at Chennai airport .
Airport authorities made necessary arrangements, and the aircraft landed safely, officials told PTI. The plane was then moved to a separate bay (Bay No. 95) for parking and passengers disembarked without incident.
Efforts are underway to replace the windshield, though the cause of the crack remains unclear. Following the incident, IndiGo has cancelled the return flight to Madurai. The airline has not yet issued any statement regarding the matter.
