District 51 Q&As

The Daily Sentinel asked all six candidates for the District 51 Board of Education election questions about issues facing the district. The Q&As from the candidates started on Wednesday, Oct. 8 with Angela Lema and Vicki Woods and will conclude on Wednesday, Oct. 15 with Will Jones and Kaci Cole.

Mesa County Valley School District 51 Board of Education President Andrea Haitz is running for a second term. Her opponent in District C is Mike Rathbone.

Haitz is a Central High School and Mesa State College graduate. She and her husband have been married for 25 years and have three children, the eldest graduating from D51 schools in 2022 and 2024. She’s a commercial realtor.
