HACIENDA HEIGHTS – The Los Altos football team continues to show it can do it on both sides of the ball, routing Covina 47-6 on Friday to remain undefeated.

Los Altos was in more of a scrappy game last week beating South Hills 21-7, so the Conquerors, who improved to 7-0 and 2-0 in the Hacienda League, wanted to remind folks of their ability to score at will while also playing stout defense.

Covina dropped to 3-4 and 0-2 in league play.

“Last week’s game just goes to show how competitive the Hacienda [League] is,” Los Altos coach Dale Ziola said. “Last year in the Hacienda League, out of the 15 games, all but four were within one score across the board.”

As for their latest win, Ziola continues to be impressed by his team’s mental prowess.
