Approximately two weeks ago, I discovered that I really like hearing about how other people’s public school experiences were different than mine. In Mountain Lakes, where I grew up, we had nine class periods a day (rather than block scheduling), did a dance unit in gym class and stopped having field day after eighth grade. Schools in Ridgewood, though, didn’t necessarily do those things — and that, for whatever reason, has been blowing my mind for at
