At least seven people are dead in the Philippines after a series of earthquakes struck the island nation on Friday, Oct. 10, several outlets reported.

A 7.4 magnitude quake was followed by one of a slightly lesser magnitude later in the day on Friday, according to the Associated Press . CBS News and The New York Times both reported the second quake was around 6.7 in magnitude.
