Halifax has reminded customers over a £800 withdrawal rule. The banking giant, which is part of Lloyds Banking Group, has responded to queries from Twitter/X users.

A customer said: " @HalifaxBank why have you limited the amount I can draw out of my account down to £250? I use cash all the time to pay for food and the kids stuff so I draw out the money needed now I can’t so I’d have to go back tomorrow to get the rest it’s absolutely disgusting it’s my cash"

Halifax replied: "Hi, I'm Sophie. Thanks for your query today. For the majority of our accounts, you will be able to withdraw up to £800 per day at an ATM, and a maximum of five withdrawals per day."
