The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) has warned drivers they risk losing their personalised number plates if they miss a crucial 10-year deadline. Numerous motorists choose to buy their own private or personalised registration from the DVLA or through a private dealer.

However, many who've purchased a personalised registration number for their car may be unaware of an approaching renewal deadline, with non-compliance leading to permanent loss of the number.
