While the Division 1-3 top-ranked Kingsford Flivvers have won all 15 of their dual matches this season, they remain in search of their top level of performance.
After her team’s 21-25, 25-23, 25-22, 25-20 win at Houghton on Thursday evening, Flivvers’ coach Jaclynn Kreider spoke of this search.
“We need to find a way to balance our energy with being disciplined,” Kreider said. “We have been working on being more focused on the small aspects of the game, but I feel like then we struggle to keep our enthusiasm level high. When we are able to put the two mindsets together the outcome is extremely positive.”
The Flivvers fell behind quickly in the opening set, and although they showed signs of coming out of their funk, they never recovered enough to overtake the fourth-ranked Gremlins (7-6)
