Tens of thousands of pro-Palestine protesters have gathered in central London to mark two years since the start of the war in Gaza.

The demonstrations come just a day a the c easefire agreement between Israel and Hamas came into effect - and as tens of thousands of Palestinians returned to their homes in Gaza following the withdrawal of Israeli forces.

Protests began along Victoria Embankment on Saturday (October 11), with stalls selling keffiyehs while people handed out placards that read "from the river to the sea, Palestine will be free", "it's not a crime to act against genocide" and "Starmer has blood on his hands, free Palestine".
