Umaria: Two young tiger cubs were successfully rescued today from the hollow of a fallen dry tree in the Salkhaniya area of the Panpatha Buffer Zone, Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve.

Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve Director Anupam Sahay stated that a patrolling team first spotted one cub inside the hollow of a dried tree in compartment number 610 of the Salkhaniya beat. After a thorough investigation confirmed no adult male or female tiger was present nearby, a crucial rescue operation was initiated.

Utilizing the efforts of the patrolling team and support from camp elephants, both cubs were safely extracted from the tree hollow.
