Umaria: Two young tiger cubs were successfully rescued today from the hollow of a fallen dry tree in the Salkhaniya area of the Panpatha Buffer Zone, Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve.
Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve Director Anupam Sahay stated that a patrolling team first spotted one cub inside the hollow of a dried tree in compartment number 610 of the Salkhaniya beat. After a thorough investigation confirmed no adult male or female tiger was present nearby, a crucial rescue operation was initiated.
Utilizing the efforts of the patrolling team and support from camp elephants, both cubs were safely extracted from the tree hollow. They were immediately transported to Tala Bandhavgarh for a detailed veterinary health check-up. The successful rescue highlights the vigilant and timely intervention of
