OHIO (WJW) -- The Mega Millions jackpot has soared to $600 million for the upcoming drawing on Tuesday, October 14, marking one of the largest prizes in the lottery's history.

The jackpot, which has an estimated cash value of $277.2 million, continues to grow after no ticket matched all six numbers in the last drawing.

"Six hundred million dollars. When you say it out loud it really puts it in perspective. That’s a huge amount of money that someone has a chance to win Tuesday night," Joshua Johnston, lead director for the Mega Millions Consortium, said in a press release.

The October 10 drawing alone produced 381,739 winning tickets across various prize tiers, totaling over $8 million in winnings.

The jackpot has been rolling since it was last won at $348 million in Virginia on June 27
