The Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train project continued its steady progress this week — with the 10th steel bridge launched on Saturday. The Surat-Bilimora stretch is expected to become operational by December 2027. Bullet train services will reach Mumbai by 2029 as the route becomes fully available for commuters.
This high-speed rail will reduce the travel time between Mumbai and Ahmedabad to approximately 2 hours and 7 minutes. The project is progressing with significant infrastructure milestones and the support of technical and financial assistance from the Government of Japan.
