SHEBOYGAN, Wis. (WBAY) - The suspect in an early-morning stabbing in Sheboygan is in custody, police say.

Around 1 a.m. on Saturday, the Sheboygan Police Department responded to a disturbance reported in the 1500 block of North Avenue.

At the scene, police found a 20-year-old man with a stab wound. He was taken to a local hospital and then transported to another hospital outside of the Sheboygan area for treatment. He is expected to survive.

Police say they made several arrests at the scene, which included a 20-year-old man suspected in the stabbing. He is being referred to the Sheboygan County District Attorney on a 1st-Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety charge. He is currently being held at the Sheboygan County Detention Center.
