BOISE, Idaho — Idaho workers' compensation rates will drop by 2.5% beginning Jan. 1, 2026. This marks the ninth straight year of reductions for Idaho employers.
The Idaho Department of Insurance approved the change after a review by the National Council on Compensation Insurance, which looks at claims, wages and workforce data to recommend rate adjustments.
Insurance companies can choose to use the new rates or request approval to modify them.
"This is another significant decrease to workers' compensation rates, said Dean L. Cameron, director of the Idaho Department of Insurance.
