Prosecutors will not file criminal charges after a sideline fight at the end of a Mountain Vista-Valor Christian football game led to an assistant coach’s suspension for getting involved in a confrontation.

The scuffle at the end of the Oct. 3 game in Highlands Ranch was caught on video , which showed dozens of players milling on the sidelines, some shoving, when a hand pushes the back of a Valor Christian running back’s helmet.

Mountain Vista assistant coach Dylan James was ejected by game officials for “hitting a player,” and Valor Christian head of school Bryan Ritz later characterized the “unacceptable” behavior as a coach putting hands on a student.
