WHEATFIELD — Brayden Kurtz's faith guides him through every situation in his life.
It helped the Crown Point star score two goals and assist on two more in the team's first sectional victory since 2017, defeating Hobart 5-1, despite departing the game midway through the second half with a leg injury.
"I really give it up to my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ," Kurtz said. "I might be injured today, but I'd rather me be injured than any one of these boys."
He also believes that his faith enabled him to walk again after a nasty injury he sustained during his freshman club season.
