The No. 8/8 Alabama football team handed No. 14/14 Missouri its first loss of the season, defeating the Tigers, 27-24, Saturday afternoon inside Faurot Field at Memorial Stadium.

With the win, the Crimson Tide (5-1, 3-0 SEC) snapped Missouri's (5-1, 1-1 SEC) 15-game winning streak at home.

Ty Simpson finished 23-of-31 through the air, throwing for 200 yards and three touchdowns.

Freshman Lotzeir Brooks led all Tide receivers with four receptions for 58 yards, including a vital 29-yard catch on fourth-and-8 late in the final quarter.

Isaiah Horton, Kevin Riley and Daniel Hill were responsible for one touchdown reception apiece.

Jam Miller was the workhorse in the Alabama backfield, turning 20 carries into 85 yards on the ground.
