Johnson City Brewing pours first drink at West Walnut Street location

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (WJHL) — Johnson City Brewing Company celebrated the grand opening of its West Walnut Street taproom on Saturday.

Eric Latham, owner of Johnson City Brewing Company, said his crew "finally made it" and that the taproom is "finally open" at 714 W Walnut St.

"We bought this thing, I guess, in March," he said. "And six months later, here we are open. And so a lot of people from our staff are amazing. Our co-owners, the community, you know, our business partners, helped make all this happen. And we're really appreciative of that way."

Latham said he and his wife, Kat, wanted to be a part of the newly renovated Walnut Street.

"There's a lot of great stuff that's happening here and a lot of great stuff yet to happen," he said. "But we just wanted to be a part of it."
