GRAND COTEAU, La. (KLFY) — The Grand Coteau voters participated in the primary election to elect the next Chief of Police for the Town of Grand Coteau.

The race was between Willie Troy Coco, John Jeff Lemelle and Brad Randell.

As a result, Coco has gained 47% of the vote, Randell gained 37%, and Lemelle in last place with 16% of the vote.

With Lemelle out of the election, it will go to a Nov. 15 runoff between the top two candidates: Coco and Randell.
