DECATUR, IL. (WFIE) - The Illinois High School Girls Golf state tournament was this weekend, and once again, Mount Carmel was participating. The tourney was held up at Decatur’s Red Tail Run Golf Course.

It was certainly a great two days for the Lady Golden Aces! Mount Carmel won the class 1A state title, by 25 strokes, over second place Quincy Notre Dame!

That’s their fifth straight state championship! Leading the way, were seniors Zeme Moore and Miley Kennard, who both shot +8, for their two-day score.

Elyse Swanson and Miranda Kennard were both +18. Ella Turner carded +23 for the Golden Aces, while Ava Brumagin rounded out their scores, with +25.

Again, a big congrats to the Mount Carmel Lady Aces, on continuing their state championship golf dynasty.
