Luka Doncic is preparing for his first full season with the Los Angeles Lakers after last season’s surprising midseason trade from the Dallas Mavericks. This time around, the Slovenian star has one clear goal in mind. He wants to win a championship with the Lakers.

However, his journey toward that dream has hit an early obstacle. His co-star, LeBron James, will be sidelined for three to four weeks due to a sciatica injury on his right side.

Despite this, during a recent interaction with reporters, Doncic showed confidence and focus when asked about how the Lakers would fare in LeBron’s absence.

“I don’t view it that way. I just want to play basketball. If I do less, if I do more, whatever it takes for me to get a win,” Luka said as per ESPN’s Dave McMenamin.
