The Campbell County High School volleyball team got two big conference wins at home this past weekend, sweeping Cheyenne Central Friday and beating Cheyenne East 3-2 Saturday.
The team has had some ups and downs this season, but compared to last season, there have been a lot more highs. Head coach Wendi Mader said these two wins are a testament of how far the group has come.
“We are getting where we need to be mentally,” she said. “We focused a lot this year and have started to hone in on making sure we are staying present during games.”
The Camels swept the Indians, 25-16, 25-16, 25-17, on Friday. On Saturday, the Thunderbirds presented more of a challenge. The Camels took the first set, 25-23, before falling 23-25. They went up after winning the third set, 25-19, before dropping the f
