Close to 30 BJP MLAs of Manipur were camping in Delhi since October 4 to press for a popular government in the state.

A consensus among all the communities as well as BJP MLAs representing the different communities of the state is a must for a popular government in Manipur. This is the condition that the central leaders have set for the BJP MLAs of Manipur in response to their demand for a popular government in Manipur that has been under President’s Rule since February 13, 2025.

According to reliable sources, the central leadership have said that all BJP MLAs from every community, including Meitei, Naga, and Kuki-Zo, must come together in consensus before any government formation process begins.
