After studying in Delhi, Sanjeev Kapoor worked in New Zealand for two years. After he returned to India, he became the youngest Executive Chef of Centaur Hotel in Mumbai in 1992. This was also the time Sanjeev had his first brush with Bollywood.
Centaur Hotel was the hub of Bollywood parties at that time, and he recalled how he was invited to meet guests at one such party and couldn’t recognize anybody — and how he was blasted for the same. He told The Lallantop, “At the party, they made me meet Bollywood stars. I met everyone and came to my office after that. The banquet manager also came to my office. He told me that since you are new, I have to talk to you. He told me that you have to change your attitude. ‘ Tum bahut badtameez insaan ho (You are a very rude person),’ he told me.
