JASPER – The Barr-Reeve tennis team (22-3) dream season came to a close with a 4-1 loss to Avon in the semi-state round at Jasper Tennis Complex on Saturday.

Playing under perfect weather conditions for all, Viking No, 1 Xavier Meiring lost to Jayden Nograles, 4-6, 3-6, Daniel Underwood lost to Andrew McIntyre 6-7 (8-10), 3-6 and Eli Ash lost to Ian Tolentino 0-6, 3-6. Ash's win on Thursday was the deciding match in the Vikes upset win over Jasper on Thursday.
