CORVALLIS Ore. (KPTV) - Oregon State University has fired head football coach Trent Bray after the program’s 0-7 start to the 2025 season, according to multiple reports.

The move comes one week after the team fired specials teams coordinator Jamie Christian, and on the heels of the Beavers’ 39-14 loss to Wake Forest at Reser Stadium on Saturday.

Bray was in his second year as the team’s head coach, taking over the reigns in 2024 after his predecessor Jonathan Smith left for Michigan State.

The Oregon State alum served as an assistant under Smith from 2018-2023, and was the team’s defensive coordinator during the 2022 and 2023 seasons. Previous coaching stints include Nebraska and Arizona State, as well as a three-year run with the Beavers from 2012-14 as a linebackers coach.
