BROADVIEW, Ill. (NewsNation) — At least 15 people were arrested on Saturday outside the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility near Chicago, following escalating protests against the Trump administration's "Operation Midway Blitz."

The arrests took place at a federal immigration processing facility in the suburb of Broadview, Illinois. According to the Cook County Sheriff's Office, all those arrested were under 40 and face charges ranging from criminal damage to government property to disobeying police orders.

The protests occurred in the wake of a federal appeals court's decision on Saturday, partially reinstating President Trump’s control of the National Guard in Chicago and across Illinois, but preventing him from deploying service members in the Prairie State.
