WOODSTOCK, N.Y. — The Woodstock Film Festival opens its five-day run Wednesday, Oct. 15, with its largest-ever lineup featuring 39 narrative films and 27 documentaries.

“It’s going to be amazing, we have more films than ever and filmmakers coming from all over the world,” said Meira Blaustein, the festival’s co-founder and executive director. Some of the filmmakers hail from Australia, London, and Kenya, she added.

Along with Woodstock, screenings will take place in Kingston, Saugerties, and Woodstock.

Among the celebrities set to appear at this festival are Mariska Hargitay, who portrays Olivia Benson in the NBC series “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit,” and Amanda Seyfried, known for her roles in “Mean Girls” and “Mamma Mia!” They will be joined by author E. Jean Carroll and Mark Dup
