Strictly Come Dancing fans were horrified as it was announced that EastEnders star Balvinder Sopal would face Ross King in the dreaded dance off on the Sunday night results show.

They fumed that the star never deserved to be in the bottom two and took aim at head judge Shirley Ballas's comments about her.

Balvinder and her pro partner, new pro Julian Caillon, were unanimously saved by the judges.

They had been handed 26 points for their foxtrot on Saturday nights live show, but Shirley's six had sparked anger from viewers.

She was booed by the audience as she told Balvinder: "It needed finish at the end of your hands and your arms. The footwork for me was by no means very good."
