NEW YORK CITY (PIX11) — An incoming Nor'Easter in the tri-state area is expected to bring intense winds and rain through Monday. Sloppy weather could affect the morning and evening commute for New Yorkers.

The cloud coverage and rain have already begun to affect flights out of the New York City area, with ground delays of nearly two hours at John F. Kennedy International, LaGuardia and Newark airports, hitting on Sunday afternoon.

Coastal flood warnings and wind advisories were placed in New York and New Jersey for the storm's duration, which could affect subways, buses, bridges and tunnels.

To prepare for the incoming weather, field personnel will be on call for combating potential damage to roadways and weather-related issues, the MTA announced Sunday.
