Lorraine Kelly has opened up about the "heartbreaking" cuts to her daytime show as she addressed the news that its time slot has been slashed. ‌

She vowed to carry on presenting the self-titled programme amid earlier rumours she was prepared to walk away from it. ‌

She said: “I don’t see me going anywhere until people get fed up, you know? Until people say, I’ve had enough of that one.” ‌

Speaking about the changes, which have seen her show cut down from an hour to 30 minutes, and only airing for 30 weeks per year, she said her first thought was for her production team.

The cuts have come as part of a major overhaul of ITV's daytime schedule, with 220 out of 450 jobs at risk, the Mirror reports .
