MADISON COUNTY, Iowa —

The Madison County Sheriff's Office is investigating a crash that left one man dead just northeast of Winterset.

According to the Madison County Sheriff's Office, deputies received a 911 call where someone reported a UTV had crashed early Saturday morning, just after midnight. It happened at the Quarry Trail and Quailridge Avenue intersection.

Deputies say Harlan Tomlinson III, 19, died when the UTV he was driving entered a ditch in the area and rolled.

Deputies are continuing to investigate the crash.
