SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) -

At 8:16 P.M. on Friday night, the Florida highway patrol responded to a crash involving three school busses.

Once on scene, FHP reported an SUV has collided with a row of stopped school busses.

Upon collision with the first school bus, a chain reaction occurred, causing all three to collide. FHP says the car caught on fire.

In total, the busses were carrying 90 students and six adults.

Six school children from the busses were transported to an area hospital with minor injuries. The driver of the SUV was also taken to the hospital with minor injuries, and the two-year-old passenger of the SUV was airlifted to the hospital with serious injuries.
