ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) - As debates over school library materials continue across Texas, Abilene ISD leaders say they’re committed to balancing community standards with students’ access to a wide range of books and ideas.

During a recent AISD board meeting, several community members voiced concerns about alleged explicit content in school libraries. Superintendent Dr. John Kuhn and Executive Director for Secondary Education Lyndsey Williamson addressed those concerns, explaining that the district has a formal process for reviewing challenged materials.
