EMPORIA, Kan. — Missouri Southern's late attempt at a comeback fell short as the Lions lost 31-24 to the Emporia State Hornets Saturday at ESU.

The Lions (2-4, 0-4) got on board first, courtesy of a 75-yard pass from Tillman Martin to Huston Rotich on the third play from scrimmage. Asher Huffman’s point-after was good and MSSU held a 7-0 lead at the 13:40 mark. ×
