TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) - The Tucson Fire Department responded to a swift water rescue near Grant and Craycroft at 4:08 p.m on October 12, 2025.
TFD said multiple 911 callers reported that a person had fallen in the Alamo Wash behind the Tucson Medical Center and was swept away.
Multiple fire units responded and reported four-foot deep water in the wash.
TFD says a man and his son spotted the person, followed him about 100 yards and were able to pull the person out of the wash at the Fort Lowell Bridge.
TFD says the person had minor injuries but refused transport.
