EAST HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) -- Communities across the Connecticut shoreline are bracing for a nor'easter Sunday, bringing high winds and potential flooding.

In New Haven county, public works departments and emergency management leaders say factors playing into the storm could bring road closures and downed trees.

"Title surge, wind, rain, three components that are not very good for the shoreline community, like West Haven," Emergency Management Director Rick Fontana said. "We're going to have some wave action that's going to be blowing onto the roadway. We're going to see our frequently flooded areas under our bridges and our low lying areas at high tide."
