NEW DELHI: Jawed Habib, his son Anos Habib, and an associate have been accused of defrauding investors by promising high returns through a scheme under the banner of Follicle Global Company (FLC), news agency PTI reported. According to authorities, the accused collected Rs 5-7 lakh from each investor, claiming it would yield returns of 50-70 per cent on Bitcoin purchases. However, after over two years, investors reportedly received no returns. Preliminary investigations estimate the financial fraud at Rs 5-7 crore. Raia Satti police station in-charge Govind Kumar said that 32 FIRs have been registered against the trio.
