A 76-year-old skydiver died after a “landing accident” in Perris, Calif., on Saturday, according to law enforcement officials.

Deputies responded shortly before 11:40 a.m. to Case and Murrieta roads in response to an air emergency, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.

They found a skydiver, who was pronounced dead at the scene. He was identified by the coroner’s office as Richard Gonzales of Las Vegas.

Deputies found no signs of foul play, the department said. The Riverside County Coroner’s Bureau is investigating.
