Ashtabula County in moderate drought

Drought has continued to hit much of Ohio, as dry conditions have shifted across the state over the last month.

The most drastic conditions are now concentrated in Northwest Ohio, between Sandusky, Toledo and the Indiana border, but a moderate drought has slowly spread to encompass all of Ashtabula County, according to the U.S. Drought Monitor’s map released Thursday.
