Opposition Leader Sussan Ley has announced a reshuffle of the Coalition’s shadow ministry, appointing several MPs and Senators to new roles.
Senator Jonathon Duniam has been named shadow minister for home affairs, moving out of the education portfolio to replace Liberal MP Andrew Hastie.
Ms Ley said the role was “one of the most significant decisions a Prime Minister or Leader of the Opposition makes”.
Julian Leeser will replace Mr Duniam as shadow minister for education and early learning while retaining his position as shadow minister for the arts.
Mr Leeser will vacate the shadow attorney-general position, which will be taken up by Andrew Wallace.
