An Indian woman’s terrifying encounter in downtown Chicago triggered social media users after she shared a video describing how her chain was snatched in broad daylight.

Chabi Gupta, an Instagram user, shared the clip showing her visibly shaken as she talks about the incident. “I was walking in downtown Chicago and somebody came and snatched my chain. Can you see the bruises? Like, in downtown! Thank God I could save my locket, but the hook is gone. Stay safe out there, you guys,” she said, showing the marks left on her neck.
