LAHORE, Pakistan (AP) — Pakistan police clashed with thousands of protesters during a march in support of Palestinians on Monday, killing at least one officer and injuring dozens of other officers, police and witnesses said.

Punjab Police Chief Usman Anwar said demonstrators opened fire on authorities, killing the officer and wounding others. He did not confirm casualties among the protesters, but political party Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan, or TLP, said in a statement that many of its supporters also were killed or wounded.
