In a shocking incident from Patamunda Hating village under Koida block in Odisha’s Sundargarh district, a woman has allegedly sold her newborn son just two days after giving birth.
According to an ASHA worker, the woman reportedly struck a deal worth Rs 50,000 for the baby and received Rs 25,000. Following the alleged sale, the woman went missing, and her mobile phone has remained switched off.
Authorities have obtained her residential details from local records. Meanwhile, her other children continue to stay at the family’s house in Patamunda, raising concerns about their care and the mother’s whereabouts.
