Upper Hunter racer Rylan Gray took another step towards clinching the 2025 Dunlop Super2 Series crown following a successful weekend in the Central Tablelands.

The Muswellbrook speedster claimed round five at the Repco Bathurst 1000 with a clinical race two victory.

After benefitting from a mistake by teammate Nash Morris, the 18-year-old secured his third win of the season.

The former Denman Public School student entered the latest outing with his Tickford Ford holding a 117-point lead over Lochie Dalton.

By Sunday night, that gap extended to 147.

Now, if he finishes ahead of Dalton in the Adelaide opener next month, with 300 points on the line, Gray will secure the title with a race in hand.
