BOX SCORE
The bruised and battered 49ers battled, but came up short in a 30-19 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday at Raymond James Stadium.
The loss was costly in more ways than one, as star linebacker Fred Warner sustained a reported right ankle dislocation eight minutes into the game and quickly was ruled out for the remainder of the contest.
Quarterback Mac Jones and Co. put up a valiant fight but didn't have enough left in the tank.
Veteran wide receiver Kendrick Bourne led the way with five catches for 142 yards. Demarcus Robinson added two receptions for 44 yards. Tight end Jake Tonges caught six passes for 58 yards.
Kicker Eddy Piñeiro went 4 for 4 on field goal attempts, keeping the 49ers close early in the second half.
