South Lanarkshire Council celebrated the International Day of Older Persons which took place on Wednesday, October 1. ‌

Seniors Together, a council project aimed at improving the quality of life for older people living in South Lanarkshire, have created a banner which is on display at council headquarters in Hamilton. ‌

International Day of Older Persons was created by the United Nations in 1990, and this year’s UK theme is 'Building belonging – Celebrating the power of our social connections'. ‌
